Vail Resorts RFID - the EpicMix Launch
Vail Resorts owns six mountains in Colorado and California. Today, Keystone opened and is the first to leverage the Resort's new Epic pass powered by RFID. Epic ski and snowboard passholders logged over 2 million vertical feet in the first hour of operation. The vertical feet for Epic Pass holders is automatically tabulated by RFID at the lifts. Users can automatically track their vertical and number of runs as well as capture badges and win prizes.
As Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Heavenly and Vail open later this month, each will also provide the Epic offering to season pass holders along with a number of benefits. More to come.
